About MFT Inside Bar Marker

How it works

An inside bar is a bar whose high and low both sit inside the bar before it - the market pausing and coiling before its next move.

MFT Inside Bar Marker finds them for you on two bar sizes at once, 5 minute and 15 minute by default, and draws a box around each one as soon as it closes.

The bar sizes are worked out on their own, whatever chart you are on. On a 5 minute chart the box sits right over the inside bar. On a 1 minute chart the same box covers the five candles that made it - so you can watch the higher time frame inside bars from a faster chart.

Settings

Setup 1 and Setup 2: on/off, and any bar size from 1 to 240 minutes (defaults 5 and 15)
Regular Hours Only: just 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET (default), or include overnight
Days To Show: how many days of history get boxes (default 3, 0 = all)
Colors for each setup

Getting started

Click Download and sign in. It’s saved in your account.
Download the .zip from your account, then in NinjaTrader 8: Tools › Import › NinjaScript Add-On.
Restart NinjaTrader and add it to a chart.
Run it in Sim or Playback until you’re comfortable with how it performs.
