Thursday, October 8 was a busy day on NQ. It had a morning rally into the 31,360 high, a midday chop, and a sharp afternoon selloff that took the Nasdaq down about 450 points. Inside Bar Pro traded through all of it on autopilot, taking one trade at a time with 2 contracts on each signal. It finished 9 trades, 8 wins, 1 loss, +140 points. It hit the daily profit goal at 14:14 ET and shut itself off for the day. The Trades Trade 1: 5-Min Inside Bar Short (+30 pts) ✅ NQ ran up in the first half hour, then stalled and printed a 5-minute inside bar. The break to the downside triggered the short, and both targets hit on the pullback. Trade 2: 5-Min Inside Bar Short (+30 pts) ✅ At 10:35 NQ made the high of the day, and a 5-minute inside bar formed right at the top (H 31,361.25 / L 31,331.75). Price broke the low at 10:36 and the short filled at 31,332. T1 (+10) hit in about three minutes, the stop moved to break-even, and the runner was trailed lower for the rest of the move. Trade 3: 15-Min Inside Bar Short (+30 pts) ✅ The 15-minute chart then confirmed the same reversal. Its inside bar broke lower and caught the next leg down off the high. Trades 4 & 5: 5-Min Inside Bar Shorts (+10 pts each) ✅✅ As the fade slowed into late morning, two more 5-minute inside bar shorts triggered, one of them at 11:14 from 31,233. Both hit T1 for a quick +10. When momentum faded, the runners came out at break-even, so profit stayed locked in and nothing turned into a loser. At 11:35 a third short setup was skipped because a trade was already open. The strategy only runs one trade at a time. Trade 6: 5-Min Inside Bar Long (−60 pts) ❌ This was the loss of the day. At 12:28, a 5-minute inside bar broke to the upside and the long filled at 31,257.50. Price spiked higher but couldn’t hold, reversed, and hit the full 30-point stop on both contracts. The setup was valid and the market rejected it, which happens. The stop did its job and kept the loss defined. Shortly after, NQ fell more than 300 points. Trade 7: 5-Min Inside Bar Short (+30 pts) ✅ During the afternoon flush, a 5-minute inside bar formed partway down, and the short filled near 30,922.50. T1 filled at 30,912.75 and T2 at 30,902.75 at 13:20. This trade made back half the loss. Trade 8: 5-Min Inside Bar Long (+30 pts) ✅ After the selloff bottomed, NQ started to bounce. A 5-minute inside bar broke higher at 13:55 and the long filled at 30,889. T1 hit at 30,899 and T2 at 30,909 by 14:00, which brought the session to +110. Trade 9: 15-Min Inside Bar Long (+30 pts) ✅ The 15-minute chart then lined up with the bounce. Its inside bar broke higher at 14:13 and the long filled at 30,929.25. T1 hit at 30,939.25, and T2 hit at 30,949.25 one minute later. The session reached +140, the Daily Profit Stop was reached, and the strategy stopped for the day.
