Today I let MFT Inside Bar Pro run on the NQ on a Sim account with Auto Trading on, and it finished the session +60 points. The setup Inside Bar Pro watches for the first inside bar of the session on two timeframes, the 5-minute and the 15-minute. An inside bar is a candle whose high and low stay inside the candle before it: the market pausing before its next move. When price breaks out of that bar, the indicator takes the trade in the direction of the break. How today went NQ sold off hard from the morning highs, and the inside bars set up on the way down. The indicator took the short breakouts, placed the stop and both targets automatically, and managed every trade without me touching anything. Target 1 and Target 2 both filled, and the session closed +60 points. What I like about it One trade at a time: no stacking positions or chasing. Trade Center: shows exactly what the account did today, plus the last 10 days. This Week’s Red Folder: I can see CPI, PPI and retail sales coming before they hit. Today was CPI day. MFT Bar Timer: at the bottom of the chart it counts down the 1-hour, 30, 15, 5 and 1-minute bars, so I always know when the next candle closes. Takeaway Inside bars are simple, but taking them consistently is hard to do by hand. Letting the indicator handle the entries and exits keeps me disciplined and out of my own way.
