Multi CrossOver Pro: NQ Short, Both Targets Hit (Oct 7)
A EMA cross on the 1-minute NQ chart, taken only because the 10 Range, 30 Range and 15-minute trend filters all agreed. Target 1 filled, the stop moved to break-even automatically, and Target 2 finished the trade.
The setup. At 8:19 AM ET the EMA crossed below the EMA. Before taking a cross, Multi CrossOver Pro checks its trend filters. The 10 Range, 30 Range and 15-minute EMA 20/50 boxes were all red (down), so the short was allowed. Earlier long crosses that morning were blocked by the 15-minute trend, and the message center shows why.
The trade. Short 2 MNQ at 31,247.75 with Auto Trading on, copied to a second account with the MrFibs Copier.
- Stop: 31,271.00
- Target 1: 31,232.50 (+14.75 points), 1 contract
- Target 2: 31,217.75 (+30 points), 1 contract
What happened. Right after the entry, NQ pushed about 11 points against the trade, and for a few minutes it looked like it might get stopped out. The stop held, sellers came back, and Target 1 filled at 8:26. The indicator moved the stop to break-even on its own, so the runner couldn't turn into a loss. I dragged the stop lower in Chart Trader to lock in more, and a minute later Target 2 filled at 31,217.75.
Result: +44.25 points across the 2 contracts. That reached the Daily Profit Stop, so the indicator took no more trades for the day.
Takeaway: the filters keep you with the bigger trend, and the automatic break-even after Target 1 takes the stress out of a pullback. Not every cross works out like this. That's why the stop goes in with the entry.
